The RMM Built for 3CX Resellers
Controvo is an RMM for 3CX, and that undersells it. It's a complete management platform for 3CX: your techs add extensions, change ring groups, move DIDs and pull call recordings across every system you manage, without ever holding a 3CX admin password. Monitoring, alerting and drift detection are included. They're the floor, not the product.
You Manage Everything Else. Your Phone Systems Are the Exception.
ConnectWise Automate for your servers. Intune or Datto for endpoints. Group Policy for Active Directory. Every system in your stack has centralized management, policy enforcement, and automated remediation.
Except 3CX. Your phone systems are still managed one at a time: separate dashboards, manual configuration, settings that drift without anyone noticing. The same way everything was managed 15 years ago.
Most tools built for 3CX tell you when a system breaks and leave the fixing to the 3CX console. That is the difference between watching your fleet and running it, and it is the difference between an RMM and a complete management platform.

The Call Recording Checkbox Nobody Checked
Your best engineer is troubleshooting a call quality issue. He disables call recording to isolate the problem. Fixes it. Moves on to the next ticket. Forgets to re-enable recording. Three weeks later, someone at the client's office needs a call pulled. It doesn't exist. One forgotten checkbox on one extension, and your process doc didn't catch it because process docs can't watch checkboxes.
Define your standard once. Apply it everywhere. Controvo's policy engine captures your configuration standard as a policy. Apply it to any system and every setting matches in minutes. Templates get new extensions and phones right on day one. The 50th deployment takes the same effort as the 5th, and the result is identical.
The Quick Fix That Became Permanent
A tech changes a codec setting during a support call to fix choppy audio. It works. He moves on. Six months later, nobody remembers the change was supposed to be temporary. A client asks for voicemail-to-text "just for the owner's extension," and it stays on after the trial ends. Staff turn over, and the new hire doesn't know what the standard was in the first place. Each change is small. Together, they add up to a system that no longer matches your baseline, and you don't find out until something breaks.
Drift detection watches so you don't have to. Controvo compares every system against your policy continuously. When something changes, you choose the response for each setting. Get notified so you can investigate. Let Controvo revert it automatically. Or both. Configuration drift stops being a post-complaint discovery and becomes something the system handles for you.
How drift detection works →The Client Who Called Before You Knew
A client calls: "Our phones have been down since this morning." You check, and the trunk dropped at 7 AM. It's now 2 PM. The disk on another system hit 95% overnight and backups stopped running three days ago. You didn't know because you checked that system yesterday and it was fine. The client's first question is always the same: "Didn't you know about this?" And the honest answer is no.
Know before your clients do. Set custom thresholds for CPU, RAM, disk, latency, jitter, and license expiration. Alerts fire via email within the check interval, so you hear about problems in minutes rather than hours. Smart polling pulls fresh data without overloading the systems you're monitoring. Track every extension and phone across your portfolio: which are online, which have gone dark, and when they were last seen.
The Ticket That Never Got Created
A 3CX alert fires in Controvo. Your tech sees it. He means to create a ticket in ConnectWise. Then a client calls. Then a meeting runs over. By the end of the day, the ticket never got created. The alert sits untracked. Nobody follows up. Manual copy-paste is the visible cost of disconnected systems. The bigger cost is the work that falls through the cracks because someone got busy.
Alerts become tickets automatically. Controvo's ConnectWise PSA integration syncs companies, contacts, and locations into Controvo. When an alert fires, it creates a service ticket in ConnectWise: right company, right board, right priority. When the issue resolves, the ticket updates. Both systems stay in sync without anyone playing messenger.
How the integration works →Built by 3CX Resellers, for 3CX Resellers
Controvo is not a generic RMM with a 3CX checkbox. We run an MSP and a VoIP provider, and we are a Platinum 3CX partner. We manage hundreds of systems for our own clients. We built Controvo because no existing tool understood 3CX at the depth we needed.
- 10+ year 3CX partner. Platinum level. Deployed on-prem, hybrid, and cloud.
- Agentless. Connects through 3CX's own APIs. Supports 3CX v18 and v20.
- Tested on our own portfolio before any marketing was written.

Who This Is For
We would rather you worked this out now than three months in.
It fits when
- You manage enough 3CX systems that no one holds them all in their head
- Someone other than you is expected to notice an outage
- Routine phone work queues behind whoever holds the admin password
- You run shared or multi-tenant systems and need work scoped to one tenant
- You have a standard build and no way to prove your fleet still matches it
It probably doesn't when
- You manage a handful of stable systems and you are the senior tech
- Changes are rare enough that per-system console access costs you nothing
- You need host-level server metrics more than 3CX-level control
- Detection is your only gap, in which case a monitoring-first tool costs less
If that second list sounds like you, we said so in our own comparison of the tools in this space, competitors included.
Pricing is published rather than quoted, from $1.25 per simultaneous call per month with volume rates from 200 SC, so you can check the economics before talking to anyone. See pricing.
Everything Included. Proven by a Six-Month Pilot.
Controvo has been generally available since August 1, 2026, after more than six months of pilot testing with real MSP partners. Every partner gets full platform access, no feature tiers, and a live chat straight to the team that builds it.
