September 17, 2026 — Backup Storage

September 16, 2026 — DECT Phones & IVR
DECT Phone Support — Controvo now manages DECT base stations and handsets alongside desk phones. The Phones view gains a Manage / DECT / FXS toggle, DECT bases have their own editor, and you can attach an extension to a DECT base straight from the extension’s IP Phone tab. Forward SMS on IVRs — The IVR editor now has a Forward SMS field, so an inbound SMS to an IVR’s number routes to the destination you set, and the value syncs back to 3CX like every other IVR setting.
Importable role presets — Role Management gets a confirm-and-import pack of four standard roles (View Only, Tier 1, Sr. VoIP Engineer / Sys Admin, New Hire), each built from your org’s live permission list. Import the ones you want as normal, editable roles instead of building each from scratch.
Bug Fixes:
- Standard monitor renamed to Low Extensions Registered for clarity.
- Voicemail Greeting row now lines up with its neighbours in the extension editor.
- Generic tables sort their own data consistently across every screen.
September 14–15, 2026 — Faster Loading, Bulk Editing & Onboarding
Progressive extension & phone tables — Large extension and phone lists now render the first page as soon as it lands and stream the rest in behind a “Loading more…” banner, so big fleets stop making you wait for a full load before you can work. Call-quality (MOS) scores fill in per row as call data arrives.
Bulk Editor rebuild — Bulk editing now runs the real extension editor once per selected extension, so a bulk change has the same fields, validation, and behaviour as editing one extension by hand.
Controvo Service Account rework — Setting up the service account Controvo uses to reach a 3CX system is now one consistent flow in both Settings (as org defaults) and Add Phone System, with clearer options for creating a new account, taking over a supplied one, or doing nothing. Adding a phone system with a Controvo service account skips the initial data-collection step it doesn’t need. A new KB article walks through it.
Attach an IP phone during extension creation — You can assign a desk phone to an extension while you’re creating it, instead of creating the extension first and coming back.
Improvements:
- Global search results deep-link straight to the object’s editor or detail view.
- You can reset an extension’s password without sending an email.
- Duplicate a monitor from its row menu to use an existing one as a starting point.
- Ireland added to the holiday library with its standard public holidays.
Bug Fixes:
- Backup Manager: the Backup Log Edit action now opens the task in edit mode, and the Last Backup / Backup Scheduled fields show real data again. The section also moves to the standard tabbed layout.
- Bulk import respects name iteration when handset names collide.
- Extension/phone load progress reads as a clear percentage under the card title.
September 8–11, 2026 — Monitors, Audit Log & Call Flow Studio
Prompts & Phone Logos tabs — The phone-system view gains dedicated Prompts and Phone Logos tabs, so audio prompts and handset wallpaper for a system live where you’d look for them.
TCP Latency monitor — Added to the standard monitors import pack, so you can track round-trip latency to a system as a first-class check.
Audit Log on the shared table — The Audit Log moved onto Controvo’s standard table, picking up in-table search, per-column filtering, sortable and resolved columns, and consistent styling with the rest of the app.
Improvements:
- Monitor editor polish: cleaner picker, tidier shared table and dropdown UI.
- Call Flow Studio: terminal nodes, key-order office routes, cleaner label placement, and a horizontal-layout toggle.
- Policies now apply advanced 3CX parameters where a template calls for them, improving the reliability of remote-storage backups.
Bug Fixes:
- Call Flow Studio paints IVR route labels correctly on first render.
September 2, 2026 — Demo Mode & Holidays
Demo Mode — A presentation-only mode that overlays fake, consistent brand names over real customer data for screen-shared demos, so you can show Controvo to a prospect without exposing a single real customer. Toggle it with Ctrl+Alt+D; a red DEMO MODE badge confirms it’s on. The app keeps working on your real data — only what’s on screen is swapped.
Holiday weekend-observance rule — Holidays that fall on a weekend can now roll to the observed weekday, set as a default with a per-holiday override. Good Friday and Easter Sunday added to the US library.
Improvements:
- Call Flow Studio remembers node positions and orders IVR keystrokes correctly.
Bug Fixes:
- Percent discounts apply additively instead of compounding.
- PostHog session replays mask personal data.
August 18–28, 2026 — Search, Navigation & the Editor Overhaul
Global search — The top-bar field now finds any object across the fleet — extensions, phones, DIDs, SIP trunks, ring groups, call queues, IVRs, SBCs, contacts and locations — grouped by type with a direct link to each, or answers a question with Controvo AI when you type one. URL-driven navigation — Every tab, sub-tab, and open editor now lives in the address bar. Refresh lands where you were, Back behaves, and any screen is a link you can paste to a colleague. Old links keep working.
Extension editor redesign — The extension editor is rebuilt end to end: a cleaner Identity & Role tab, a two-column Call Forwarding layout with a Status Profiles rail and a live-now card, reordered tabs, filterable department and role choosers, and progressive greying so fields enable in the right order.
Department editor redesign — Rebuilt on the shared editor shell with a week-canvas Office Hours view.
Unified extension Password dialog — Set password, reset email, and welcome email in one three-tile dialog.
Welcome email & DIDs on create — Send a welcome email on extension creation (or schedule it), and assign DIDs while creating the extension. Admins get a one-per-session reminder when billing details aren’t fully set up.
Inline DID re-routing — Re-route a DID straight from the DID table, the object tables, the editors, or Call Flow Studio, and the change shows across the app right away instead of waiting for the next sync.
Customer & phone-system detail views — Customers and phone systems get tabbed detail pages with a restyled phone-system editor.
DID Usage report — A new report under Unified Logs lists every configured DID with its inbound / outbound / total talk time and call count, what it routes to, and a CSV export.
Easy Holidays full-page editor — The holiday flow moves from a modal to a full routed page with a two-pane layout, a region filter (US / UK / Europe / Australia / Canada), one-click employer-standard sets, and Easter-relative rules for holidays outside the US.
Improvements:
- Play and download a voicemail greeting from the editor.
- Bulk BLF editor for setting busy-lamp fields across extensions.
- Schedule firmware and phone actions against phones that are currently offline.
- Template editor moved to the shared editor shell.
August 7–14, 2026 — Policies, NOC & Dashboard
Policy Assignments tab — The policy editor gains an Assignments tab, and the policy list gains Tags and Assigned To columns, so you can see at a glance where each policy is in force. Each policy setting now shows where it lives in the 3CX console.
Policies change only what they name — Applying a policy now leaves every setting it doesn’t specify untouched on the phone system, so a single-setting policy no longer disturbs the rest of a system’s configuration. %CustomerName% also resolves correctly in policy settings such as backup folder paths.
NOC drill-downs — The NOC board’s status chips are clickable drill-downs, with missed-backup thresholds added to fleet health.
Dashboard drill-downs — Alert and statistics tiles on the dashboard are clickable, taking you to the filtered records behind the number.
Bulk self-ID prompts — Generate self-ID voice prompts for many extensions at once.
Improvements:
- Audit Log surfaces every newly audited object type and fixes two display bugs.
- Multi-tenant systems surface cross-tenant members and make long member lists readable.
- IVR, queue and ring-group numbers are validated against the system’s extension range.
